I bought this after buying the pajama pants and loving them. The fabric is just luscious, and the tailoring is really top notch. It's rare to find such quality construction on anything anymore. I have the duvet cover and pillow cases in what's supposed to be the same fabric, but these lounge pieces feel nicer; more buttery and silky. This is a beautiful and seemingly quality item that you can easily wear out, or for lounging at home. I've worn it to my casual office. There's one down side to that fine construction, however:
There are 5 buttons down the front of this, with delicate, thin, pretty buttons; very close-fitting button holes; and a tidy, close placard covering them up. This means it takes a long time to get it on and off! These are the kind of buttons you want on a fine shirt. It's more than I want to deal with every time I go to the bathroom! At home, I just leave a couple buttons undone, and it stays closed enough that probably no one would notice.
Having a zipper down the back is actually better, so it's a quick swipe to open or close it, and it's easy to lay the top of it on your lap when you go to the bathroom - which is something you especially want if you're in a public restroom. I used to wear a lot of onesies, and they were incredibly comfortable to lounge in, even with zippers down the back, but it requires a certain kind of zipper.
I really wanted a tank to go with my pajama pants, and I would have just bought one of those, if it were available,…
