A Note on Our Price Changes
To our SIJO Family,
As you may have noticed, some prices for SIJO items have gone up a bit. It's never an easy decision to raise prices, but due to inflation, the cost of raw materials, and especially the cost of transportation, we have decided that a slight price increase is necessary.
We are proud to say that despite this, our prices are incredibly competitive when compared to other brands in our sleep and bedding space.
We do understand that this could be frustrating, but we want to assure you of the important elements that go into pricing our products.
Because we're a direct to consumer brand, this already helps us keep prices fairly low. Some other things contribute to our pricing:
- High quality raw materials. Our bedding derives from natural raw materials such as eucalyptus wood pulp, bamboo wood pulp, french flax, and supima cotton. These cost far more to use than synthetic materials, and add to the quality and luxury of our bedding range.
- Natural fibers, dyes, and organic solvents. We use organic solvents to reduce water use, and natural fibers and plant-based dyes. These, understandably, cost more than mass-manufactured items or products laden with harsh and harmful chemicals.
- Fair pay for the team in our manufacturing center. We care about our team both here at SIJO HQ and our team at our manufacturing center. To learn more about our manufacturing center, visit this post.
- Testing to ensure product safety and quality. Testing and certifications may not be top of mind for all customers, but it's crucial to us to ensure the safety and quality of our products. This can be a costly process, but it's worth it to provide our customers with peace of mind and healthier, better sleep.
We hope this post helps to give you a better understanding of this tough decision.
