Each small batch of hand-crafted linen yarn is sourced from Normandy, France, a region known for producing some of the best linen in the world; it's supremely durable fabric and gets luxuriously soft over time.

Creating linen fabric from the raw materials can be a time and labor intensive process, as this is a high quality, long fiber material. In order to fairly compensate all those involved in the farming and responsible manufacturing of our linen, the cost of the final product goes up higher than some other materials. But, with the price comes an extremely durable, high quality product.
Yes! Linen sheets are made from a high quality raw material, and feature superior weight and softness when compared with some other materials.
Markers of quality linen sheets include the GSM measurement, or grams per square meter, which denotes weight (ours is between 175-180). Durability, the sourcing of raw materials, and the manufacturing process can also show if linen sheets are of good or high quality.

So Worth It
Cat-friendly (Persian) home & hot sleeper here. I have had the snow colored duvet for a couple of weeks now. I love this duvet! I have it paired with a thin, all-season, down comforter and I tend to keep my room quite cold (~ 67) at night with a fan.
This linen breathed really well through the night. I didn’t get overheated or wake up mid-sleep in a sweat. I actually like that it’s a thicker linen; it makes me feel it will last longer.

I’ve been using these sheets for almost 2 weeks now and I absolutely love them. They get softer with every wash, are so comfortable, and the color forest is so pretty. Stone-washed, so it’s soft from the jump
Raw linen takes time to soften to the luxurious state it's known for, but we stone wash ours (tumble-wash it with stones), meaning it arrives to you already-soft, and then continues to soften with time.

I made the transition from cotton to linen bedding and am very pleased with my purchase from Sijo. My biggest concern was that linen would be rough and take too long to wear in. However, Sijo's sheets feel like they have a silky coating to them. They are not as smooth as cotton, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. They have more "texture" but they are still very soft and comfortable. I especially like that Sijo's sheets range from 175-180 GSM (which is more than Brooklinen's), so you know you are getting quality sheets. I am happy I switched from cotton to linen.

From the minute I began putting the fitted sheet onto the mattress I was so excited to finally have a strong elastic band... I thought, wow!
