Duvets vs. Duvet Covers: What's the Difference?

We're often asked what the difference is between a duvet and a duvet cover. And it's a good question!

Duvets, when mentioned alone (also called comforters), often imply the insert, or the piece of bedding that adds weight and warmth to bedding.

And then, on the other hand, we have duvet covers. These are removable, replaceable "shells" so to speak, that cover the duvet insert, that add warmth, but that also have comfortable texture and a little bit of style. Duvet covers make bedding easy to wash, but the chic colors and textures also make them decorative elements for your space.

We offer our duvet covers in both our French Linen and TENCEL™ lyocell materials, with each collection featuring eight colors! The minimalist designs and neutral hues make them perfect for any space. Even better? Our Duvet Covers have been named among the best of 2021 by SleepFoundation.org

We hope we've cleared up any confusion between duvet inserts and covers! Plus, we have an exciting announcement -- we will be debuting our first ever duvet insert this summer! So stay tuned for more information. We cannot wait for you to try them.
